Free AI Visibility Checker: Does AI Recommend Your Brand?

See whether AI search mentions your brand when buyers ask about what you sell, where you rank in the answer, and which sites the AI used as sources.

Runs three buyer questions through Claude with live web search. Takes 20 to 60 seconds. Free, limited to 3 checks a day.

How the AI visibility checker works

Enter your brand, your website and what you sell, phrased the way a buyer would search for it. The checker asks an AI model three buyer-style questions about that topic, with live web search switched on, similar to how AI search assistants answer questions:

  1. "What are the best [what you sell]?"
  2. "Which [what you sell] would you recommend for a small business, and why?"
  3. "Who are the most trusted [what you sell] right now? Give me a short list."

For each answer it shows whether your brand is mentioned, roughly where it appears in the list, whether your site was used as a source, and every site the AI drew on.

How to read the results

Result What it tells you
Mentioned, with a position AI already sees you as a relevant option. Work on moving up the list
Not mentioned The sources AI trusts for this topic don't talk about you enough yet
Cited as a source Your own pages are being used as evidence, which is a strong signal
Sites the AI leaned on most These are the pages shaping the answer, so they're your best targets for mentions and links

That last list is the useful part for link building. AI answers often draw on pages that already rank and get cited. Being included on those "best of" lists, reviews and resource pages is the most direct way into the answers. Our guides on brand mentions and getting cited by ChatGPT and other assistants go deeper.

Limits of any AI visibility check

  • Answers vary. Ask the same question twice and you can get a different list. Treat one check as a sample, not a ranking.
  • Each assistant is different. This checker uses Claude with web search. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews use their own models and sources, so results won't match exactly. See how AI Overviews choose sources.
  • Three questions is a small sample. It's a quick health check, not a full tracking study.
  • Phrasing matters. "Link building services" and "backlink agency" can return different answers, so try the terms your buyers really use.

Each visitor gets 3 free checks a day, and results for the same brand and topic are cached for 24 hours.

The short version

  • The checker asks three buyer questions with live web search and looks for your brand in the answers
  • It shows where you appear, whether your site is cited, and which sites the AI relied on
  • The sources list is your target list for mentions and links
  • AI answers vary between runs and assistants, so use this as a snapshot and recheck over time
