Link Building Price Index (Q4 2026)
A dated index of published link building prices from named providers, checked October 2026, with median guest post prices in USD and GBP.
Across five providers that publish per-link guest post prices in US dollars, the median entry price in October 2026 is $150 a link, with a range of $75 to $200. The two providers in the index that publish in pounds start at £60 and £80.
This index records the list prices link building providers publish on their own websites, with the date each one was checked. It is updated every quarter, so the figures can be compared over time rather than taken from a one-off survey.
Every number below has a named source and a stated check date. Nothing is converted between currencies, and nothing is averaged across different kinds of product.
Which providers and prices are included?
The index covers providers that publish a fixed price per link, per placement or per month on their public site. Each provider has a full review on this site: Authority Builders, Click Intelligence, fatjoe, Loganix, Outreach Monks, Rhino Rank and The HOTH for per-link prices, plus uSERP, Siege Media and PressWhizz for retainers and minimums.
Marketplaces where each publisher sets its own price, such as Bazoom, WhitePress, Adsy, iCopify and Collaborator, don't have a single price list. Their published minimums and fees appear in a separate table further down, and none of their listings feed the medians.
Published per-link prices, October 2026
Prices are per link or per placement and include content unless the vendor says otherwise. The tier column uses each vendor's own metric and wording. "4 Oct 2026" means the price was re-checked on the vendor's site on that date.

Sources: each vendor's own product and pricing pages. Rhino Rank doesn't show prices for its DA 20+, 40+ and 50+ guest post tiers, so they're left out rather than estimated. Click Intelligence showed its DR 40+ non-approval tier at a temporary discount, and the list price is used here. fatjoe's site blocks automated fetching, so its prices are recorded as published on its blogger outreach and niche edit pages in October 2026.
What is the median entry price for a guest post?
The entry price is the cheapest published tier for a guest post or outreach placement, which is the product nearly every provider in the index sells. USD and GBP are summarised separately and never compared directly.

GBP workings: fatjoe £60 (DR 10+) and Click Intelligence £80 (DR 30+, non-approval). With only two providers, the median is the midpoint of the two, so treat it as a pair of data points rather than a market figure.
The entry tiers aren't equal. Rhino Rank's cheapest guest post is DA 10+, while Loganix's starts at DR/DA 30+ with a traffic floor, so part of the spread is simply a difference in what the cheapest product is.
How does price change with authority tier?
A tier figure is only shown where at least three providers publish a guest post tier at the same authority level in the same currency. In October 2026, two tiers qualify, both in USD.

DR/DA 40+ workings: Outreach Monks $179 (DR 40+), The HOTH $345 (DA or DR 40+), Loganix $400 (average DR/DA 40+, 1,000+ traffic). The middle value is $345.
Other tiers don't reach three providers. DR 50+ has two USD guest post prices (Outreach Monks and The HOTH), and DR 60+ has two (Outreach Monks and Rhino Rank's DA 60+). In GBP, fatjoe and Click Intelligence publish matching DR ladders from DR 30+ to DR 60+, but two providers aren't enough for a tier figure. Niche edit and link insertion tiers are also left out, because Rhino Rank prices curated links by referring domains while The HOTH and Authority Builders use DR, and no single tier has three comparable prices.
Agency retainers and marketplace minimums
Retainers bundle strategy, reporting and a mix of link types, and marketplaces charge whatever each publisher asks. Neither can be fairly turned into a per-link price, so this table lists what's published without averages.

Methodology
The index follows the same rules every quarter so the numbers stay comparable.
- Only publicly listed prices. A price has to appear on the vendor's own public website. Quotes, prices behind a login and prices from third-party sites are excluded.
- Checked on each vendor's site on the date stated. Every row carries its check date. Where a site blocks automated checks, the price recorded on this site's review in October 2026 is used and marked "as published, October 2026".
- List prices only. Discounts, bulk and package deals, subscription savings and temporary offers are excluded.
- No currency conversion. Prices stay in the currency the vendor publishes, and USD and GBP figures are summarised separately.
- Tiers are approximate. Vendors use different metrics (Ahrefs DR, Moz DA, referring domains, traffic floors), so a tier label groups prices that are similar rather than identical.
- Medians, not averages. A median is used because a single premium tier would pull an average upwards. Workings list every input.
- Next update due January 2027.
How to use this index
The index is a reference for list prices, not a ranking of value. A cheaper link is only good value if the site has real traffic and relevance, which is why several vendors now attach traffic floors to their tiers.
